Junk Belt Miners

Mining Report

Mission Day 1,427

This is the official log of the derelict mining vessel "Scrap Queen", currently adrift in Earth's junk belt.

Our crew of four has been stranded here since the Great Corporate Collapse of '43, surviving on recycled oxygen and salvaged protein paste.

Current Salvage Inventory:

  • 3.7 tons of ancient computer parts
  • 42 solar panels (27% functional)
  • 1 vintage nuclear reactor core (leaking)
  • 17,000 plastic bottles (assorted colors)
  • 1 slightly used escape pod (missing seatbelts)

Crew Comms

Captain:

Alright crew, another day in paradise. Let's check the status reports before the radiation storms hit.

Engineer:

Reactor's still leaking, but I've rigged it with duct tape and hope. Should last another week... maybe.

Doctor:

Medical update: We're all dying slowly. But on the bright side, the mutated space fungus growing in the shower has antibiotic properties!

Scientist:

Fascinating! I've discovered the plastic bottles are evolving. One just asked me for directions to the nearest recycling center.
